  • Fabric scissors

  • Velcro (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut your fabric into two pieces: one piece that is 12 inches wide by 18 inches long, and one piece that is 12 inches wide by 24 inches long.
  2. With right sides together, sew the two pieces together along the 12-inch sides, leaving a 3-inch gap at the bottom for turning.
  3. Turn the bag right side out and press.
  4. Sew the gap closed.
  5. If desired, add Velcro to the inside of the bag to keep the lid closed.

2. Wall-mounted shoe organizer

A wall-mounted shoe organizer is a great way to keep your shoes organized and out of the way. It is also a great way to use vertical space in your home. To make your own wall-mounted shoe organizer, you will need:

  • Wood screws
  • Drill
  • Level
  • Tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Sander (optional)
  • Stain or paint (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut your wood into the following pieces:
    • 2 pieces that are 12 inches long
    • 2 pieces that are 16 inches long
    • 2 pieces that are 20 inches long

  1. Assemble the frame of the organizer by attaching the 12-inch pieces to the 16-inch pieces with wood screws.
  2. Attach the 20-inch pieces to the top and bottom of the frame.
  3. Sand the organizer if desired.
  4. Stain or paint the organizer if desired.
  5. Mount the organizer to the wall using wood screws or nails.

3. Under-bed storage drawers

Under-bed storage drawers are a great way to use the space under your bed. They are also a great way to keep your belongings organized and out of sight. To make your own under-bed storage drawers, you will need:

    • 4 pieces that are 30 inches long
    • 4 pieces that are 12 inches long
    • 4 pieces that are 6 inches long

  1. Assemble the frame of the drawers by attaching the 30-inch pieces to the 12-inch pieces with wood screws.
  2. Attach the 6-inch pieces to the front and back of the drawers.
  3. Sand the drawers if desired.
  4. Stain or paint the drawers if desired.
  5. Place the drawers under your bed.
